Welcome to the final day of our week of Shakespearean Sonnets! I hope you have enjoyed this week, and I hope you put some serious work into this week’s writings.
Today you will be writing a sonnet about that glorious feeling we all feel as the clock ticks down the final moments of our workday or school day before the weekend. If you need extra inspiration, you can go beyond the pre-weekend imagery, and imagine that last day before a vacation! This is a topic we can all relate to.
Your starting point sentence for today will be:
“Tick-tock, tick-tock, the moments slip away.”
Enjoy the release you get from writing this poem, and enjoy your weekend. Take care, keep writing, and we’ll see you next week!
